About Us

Collingwood Learning was formed as an educational consultancy in 2005, by John Simes. John was a highly experienced head teacher. The name 'Collingwood' comes from the deserted beach in New Zealand (View a picture of it here») he was walking on when he was inspired to take the plunge and make his ideas a reality.

Since that time, Collingwood has continued to provide organisational consultancy, but now offers bespoke educational and training programmes using theatre techniques, amongst others, across the UK.

Our People

We now have a bustling office in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire with all the creative and project management skills to develop both small and large scale programmes. We also have experienced consultants and business partners with whom we regularly work who all add specialist services as and when required.

After a period of growth, we aim to remain a small and flexible organisation, maintaining strong personal relationships with our clients. We want to enjoy every step along the way.
